Conference Site

The entire 2007 AzPA conference, excluding the opening reception at the Dancing Fountains, will be held at the new Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa, opening September 2007. The Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa is located at 9495 W. Coyotes Blvd., in the heart of Glendale’s new Westgate shopping and entertainment district. The hotel is just a short stroll from upscale boutiques and fine dining, as well as the Jobing.com Arena and University of Phoenix Stadium.

The host hotel, Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa, offers beautifully appointed guest rooms. Come see for yourself what luxury is all about. Each of the 320 rooms has been equipped with the modern conveniences you expect. Surf the web with high-speed wireless Internet access or relax on your extra sofa bed. Just steps from your room, a full-service spa, pool, fitness center, restaurant, lounge and outdoor patio along with an Internet café offer everything you need to make your conference stay complete.

The Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa has set aside a block of rooms for the Arizona Planning Association conference attendees. Please make room reservations at your earliest convenience to ensure room rate and availability. The discounted group rate for our block is $144 plus tax per room. Conference attendees can reserve room accommodations by calling the Renaissance directly at 800-468-3571. You must identify yourself as an Arizona Planning Association conference attendee. Reservations must be made by October 3 to receive this rate and be guaranteed a room. Room reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card.

Parking and Directions

The Renaissance Convention Center parking structure is located on the east side of the hotel, but charges will apply. There are complimentary self parking lots directly across the street from the main entrance of the hotel. These may be entered from either 95th Ave. or Coyotes Blvd. There is also a complimentary surface lot across from the Media Center, and it may be entered from Maryland Avenue.

Getting to the conference hotel is easy. To drive to the Renaissance, take Loop 101 to Glendale Avenue. Drive east on Glendale to 95th Avenue and turn right. Turn left on Coyotes Boulevard and proceed to the hotel. The Convention Center is directly adjacent to the hotel.

Registration and Information Desk

The registration and information desk will be located just inside the Renaissance Convention Center and will be open the following days/times:
Wednesday 12 noon – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon

Cancellations/Refund Policy

Advanced registrants unable to attend the conference are eligible to receive a full refund by sending a written request no later than October 31, 2007. Refunds will be issued following the conference. Registrants unable to attend may appoint a substitute.

AICP Certification Maintenance Credits

Sessions at this conference will be eligible for CM credits. Details on the specific sessions and events that will be granted credit will be available later this summer online.
